Do you know what you call a sloppy progression kill? That’s right…4/13! While the kill wasn’t the prettiest, it may be because we spent so little time with the fight. At the end of the night on Wednesday, we pulled him about 8 times just to get a feel for positioning, dmg, etc. It was late and almost time to call raid for the night. I don’t think the pulls lasted more than a minute and we weren’t really interested in seeing the air phase. We planned to come back on Wednesday and put some serious progression work in on the fight.
All good plans were were meant to be changed and a couple of our raiders had a family emergency to deal with. One of the great things about Acheron is the way the raiders respond to things like this. No one got upset that we couldn’t raid and instead wished them well. We scheduled a make-up raid for Monday night to try to get a couple pulls in.
Well…4 pulls later, he’s dead! New 372 loot is picked up and we move on to kill Nefarian.
This was our first week 1-shotting Nef! Not the cleanest kill by our standards, but I have to say he’s well on his way to being on farm status. A great way to end a raid week full of..oddities. We’ll be hitting Magmaw Heroic in the next raid cycle and I’m sure we’ll have more to post soon.
